Padelground Forest Glen — café and bar

SERIOUSLY.

come work
with us.

A purpose worth playing for.

From the ground up, Padelground is here to give adults back the unself-conscious joy of play — the freedom, spontaneity, and genuine connection that sport provides.

Padel is the perfect game to wrap this ethos around — you can't play it alone, you can't play it silently, and you can't play it without a smile on your face.

Padelground is founded by Brendon and Cristy Levenson, who built Jetts Fitness from one club in 2007 to 280+ gyms across five countries. That customer centric, purpose driven approach behind Jetts is anchored here once again. If you are up for the ride of your life, buckle up, apply below and help build Padelground into a great Australian brand we can all be proud of.

General Manager

You will own the full club operation from day one. That means leading the team, delivering a premium member experience, driving membership and revenue growth, and working directly with the founders to shape the culture and direction of the business. This is a hands-on, high-accountability role for someone who thrives on building things — not maintaining them.

What you'll be responsible for

  • ×Day-to-day club operations across courts, wellness, café, and retail
  • ×Hiring, leading and developing a team of 10–15 staff
  • ×Member experience — from first visit through long-term retention
  • ×Membership sales and revenue performance against targets
  • ×Booking systems, scheduling and court utilisation
  • ×Café and bar operations in partnership with the Café Lead
  • ×Supplier and vendor relationships
  • ×Facility maintenance and presentation standards
  • ×Reporting directly to the founders on all key metrics

About You

You don't need to have played padel — though you'll pick it up fast and love it. What you do need is a genuine passion for sport, fitness or hospitality, and a track record of running a high-performing team in a customer-facing environment. You're the kind of person who notices when something's off before a member does. You lead from the front, you set the standard, and you know how to bring people with you.

  • ×3–5+ years in a General Manager, Club Manager or Operations Manager role — ideally in fitness, sport, hospitality or wellness
  • ×Proven experience leading and developing teams of 10+
  • ×Strong commercial acumen — you understand revenue, margins and what drives member retention
  • ×Excellent communication skills and a natural ability to build relationships
  • ×Experience with booking or venue management systems (POS, CRM or similar)
  • ×A solutions-first mindset and high personal standards

Why Join Padelground

  • ×Join at the very beginning — your fingerprints will be on everything
  • ×Work directly with founders who've built and scaled a global fitness brand
  • ×Competitive salary with performance upside as the business grows
  • ×Be part of a sport and community movement that's only just getting started on the Sunshine Coast
  • ×A genuinely great place to work — and play
Full-time$58,000 + superStart 1 June 2026

Café & Barista Lead

When our members arrive at 6am to hit the courts, your coffee is the first thing they experience. We want that experience to be exceptional, every single time. You'll start four weeks before we open — setting up the café from scratch, sourcing the beans, calibrating the machine, developing the menu, training the team. You'll make the café yours before we let anyone else through the door.

What you'll be responsible for

  • ×Setting up the full café operation pre-opening — equipment, suppliers, menu, COGS controls
  • ×Sourcing and establishing relationships with coffee bean suppliers — preference for local specialty roasters
  • ×Training reception and casual staff in café service, food handling and counter service
  • ×Opening and operating the café during trading hours — predominantly early starts from 6am
  • ×Delivering consistently excellent coffee and food across all sessions
  • ×Managing stock ordering, waste minimisation and supplier relationships
  • ×Maintaining blended café COGS at or below 38%
  • ×Maintaining Food Safety Supervisor certification and all food hygiene compliance

About You

Three or more years as a specialty barista who understands that coffee quality is non-negotiable. You're organised, you can train others, and you're not the kind of person who disappears when things get busy.

  • ×Minimum 3 years as a qualified barista in a specialty coffee environment
  • ×Demonstrated ability to operate and calibrate commercial espresso equipment
  • ×Food Safety Supervisor certification (QLD) or willingness to obtain before start
  • ×Experience with menu development, COGS management and stock control
  • ×A strong work ethic — this role starts at 6am most days

Why Join Padelground

  • ×Join at the very beginning — your fingerprints will be on everything
  • ×Work directly with founders who've built and scaled a global fitness brand
  • ×Competitive salary with performance upside as the business grows
  • ×Be part of a sport and community movement that's only just getting started on the Sunshine Coast
  • ×A genuinely great place to work — and play
Full Time$90,000 + superStart 15 May 2026

Director of Padel Operations

As Director of Padel Operations, you'll be responsible for everything that happens on and around the courts. That means designing and running the clinic and coaching program, managing court bookings and scheduling, building the competitive and social calendar, and developing the padel community from the ground up. You'll coach personally, lead a casual coach pool, and work closely with the General Manager to make the padel operation a commercial and cultural centrepiece of Padelground.

What you'll be responsible for

  • ×Owning the full padel operation — courts, coaching, bookings, and community
  • ×Designing the clinic timetable: beginner, intermediate, advanced, mixed doubles, ladies, juniors
  • ×Delivering clinic sessions personally and managing a casual coach pool
  • ×Running beginner intro sessions to convert new members and casual players
  • ×Building and managing the private lesson program via PadelOS
  • ×Developing structured clinic progressions with defined skill outcomes
  • ×Planning and running in-house club tournaments and social events
  • ×Launching a junior program by September 2026
  • ×Collaborating with the GM on membership-driving events and community activations
  • ×Representing Padelground at regional and national padel events

About You

A padel professional with coaching experience and the operational mindset to run a world-class facility. You understand that great padel operations build great communities — and you're ready to own one from day one. You can coach a nervous beginner and a competitive player in the same morning, and you think about the program as a product as much as a passion.

  • ×Minimum 3 years coaching or managing padel at a club or competitive level
  • ×Ability to coach across all levels from beginner to advanced
  • ×Padel Australia accreditation or equivalent international certification
  • ×Strong interpersonal and leadership skills — you'll manage staff and build community
  • ×Operational mindset — you think about scheduling, revenue, and retention, not just on-court delivery
  • ×Willingness to work weekend mornings and weekday evenings

Highly Desirable

  • ×WPT, FIP or national-level competitive playing experience
  • ×Junior coaching experience
  • ×Experience running club tournaments and competitive events
  • ×Business development mindset — you understand the padel program is a commercial product as well as a community asset
  • ×International background or multilingual skills relevant to the global padel community

Why Join Padelground

  • ×Own the padel operation from day one — not inherit someone else's
  • ×Work in a world-class 7-court indoor facility with a genuine wellness and community focus
  • ×Competitive salary with real performance upside as the program and club grows
  • ×Be part of building the padel community on the Sunshine Coast from the ground up
